About Monique Burr
When she died tragically in 1996, Monique Burr left behind a legacy of love for children that extended far beyond her two young sons. For years, she was instrumental in promoting and advancing issues affecting children. Her commitment to children included serving as a member of the board of directors for the Children's Crisis Center and founding the PALS program, which is dedicated to caring for children who require 24-hour medical supervision.
It is in honor of Monique's memory that we continue her work to prevent child abuse and to empower children to protect themselves.
