BROOKSVILLE, Florida – The Monique Burr Foundation for Children announces it will host the 4th annual Golf Tournament at Southern Hills Plantation Club, a private club and course designed by the legendary Pete Dye, on Monday, Nov. 2nd. The deadline to register for the four-person, scramble-format tournament is Oct. 26th and costs are $125 per golfer or $500 for a group of four golfers.
The tournament will begin with registration at 8 a.m. on Nov. 2nd at the Southern Hills Plantation Club and a shotgun start at 9 a.m. will kick off the tournament. Participants will enjoy 18 holes of golf, golf contests, a player gift bag, door prizes, a silent auction, raffles, breakfast and lunch, and an awards ceremony. The tournament is being held one week after the PGA Qualifier
Q-School allowing golfers the rare opportunity to play the course in championship condition.“We are honored to host this first-class tournament at such a prestigious club and hope everyone will come out to support the Foundation and its mission of preventing child abuse,” said Jim Harvey, chairman of the Monique Burr Foundation advisory board in Tampa.

All proceeds from this year’s tournament will benefit the Monique Burr Foundation for Children. The Foundation will award grant funds raised from the tournament to provide scholarships for certifying elementary school counselors in the Good Touch/Bad Touch® curriculum, a signature program for the Foundation.
The Monique Burr Foundation for Children, Inc. was founded as a nonprofit organization in 1997 to honor the late Monique Burr, a tireless advocate for abused and abandoned children. The Foundation’s mission is to provide hope in the lives of children by providing training and education to prevent and reduce the rate of abuse among children throughout Florida.
Since its inception, the Foundation has reached more than 20,000 children with its advocacy programs, including the Good-Touch Bad-Touch® program, and donated more than $2 million to child-serving agencies. The Foundation also works in close partnership with agencies serving children whose primary focus is preventing abuse of children.
